God is our strengh

Habakkuk 3:17-19
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: [18] Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. [19] The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

What wonderful verses! No matter what the circumstances – trust God. Don’t look at the situation look to God.

During Habakkuk’s time the most important possessions were crops and animals. Losing one’s crops and animals would be horrible. Habakkuk used this to show the people in the worst possible time God is there. God is our strength.

Rejoice in this verse means “to jump for joy”. We need to cling to God in bad times and good times, “jump for joy” if you know Jesus personally as your Savior.

Verse 19 says God is my strength. In this verse strength means force like an army. The verse continues; He will make my feet like hinds (female deer) feet. Female deer can leap from rock to rock without losing their footing. God will give us what we need when we need it.

Keep your eyes on God, not your circumstances. Let God be your strength. God will take care of you no matter what the circumstance. Trust God – Always.
