Remember

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Jude 17-19

As Jude continues his dissertation, he is telling us to remember the words of the apostles. Throughout the word there are warnings, warnings to learn from the past, warnings of what will happen if we do not learn from the past. Warnings of what will happen in the future during the last days.

Are we in the last days? I think we are very close. Are there mockers today? Have you watched TV lately? There are sitcoms, talk shows and advertisements that mock Christianity, some of it is subtle but most is blatant. Have you noticed how Christians are presented on newscasts? Is it in a favorable light or an unfavorable light?

What about Christians you know? Are they presenting the gospel in a positive way? Are they walking in the way of the world or in the way of Christ? A.W. Tozer wrote, “many Christians were more interested in the world around them than the Eternal Word within them.” I do not want to be a Christian like that, do you?

We need to remember that this world is not our home, we are just passing through. Remember what Christ did for you.

Redeemed you
Eternal life (gave you eternal life)
Made you holy
Empathy (He shows you compassion)
Mercy (shows you great mercy)
Blood brought (He paid the price for your sin)
Everlasting (You will live with Him forever)
Righteous (made you righteous)

As you walk your daily path today ask the Lord to help you remember all the great things He has done for you. Thank and praise Him for his wonderful grace.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; Psalm 105:5

Have a blessed day,

Donna
