Enjoy life

7 Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. 8 Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment. 9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.  Ecclesiates 9:7-10

Solomon tells us to enjoy life, not recklessly, but enjoying God’s creation. Should we moan and groan because we are going to die? Absolutely not but “Stop and smell the roses” once in a while. As you go along doing your daily tasks “Don’t make mountains out of mole hills” and “Pick your battles”. We tend to be “uptight” about the littlest things in life.

Look around and be thankful. Live your life joyfully. Now is the time to do that good work; Now is the time to encourage others; Now is the time to be a testimony; Now is the time to … (fill in the blank).

Once we die it is too late to “do all the things we want to do”. Ask God what He would have you do and do it.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

Have a blessed day,
Donna
