Happy Independence Day

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20

Today was a relaxing day. My family came over for a red, white and blue breakfast. Red, white and blue scones, waffles with blueberries, raspberry and strawberries topped off with blueberry, strawberry or maple syrup with a healthy side of scrambled eggs. We had a nice breakfast then a walk around the neighborhood before they were on their way to various activities.

In the afternoon, my husband and I took a drive to find a little picnic place. He suggested Plymouth, what were we thinking, Plymouth on the 4th of July? Needless to say it was very crowded, but I thought of the Monument of the Fore Fathers, so we headed over, it is just a few blocks away from the center but not a big tourist attraction. We had a quiet picnic lunch and enjoyed the Monument of the Fore Fathers.

It is the largest solid granite monument in the U.S. standing at the top of a hill facing east to the harbor, welcoming those who come by water. It is 81 feet high, the statue in the center is Faith surrounded by Liberty, Law, Education and Morality.

I am grateful for all I have this Independence Day. I’m especially thankful for the fore fathers who made it possible for me and you to live in a free country.

Independence Day

Today is the day we are celebrating Independence Day. The quotes below show us what type of men started our country. Men who loved God and wanted to obey Him.
