33 Take ye heed, watch and
pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to
his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of
the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the
morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly
he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto
you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:33-37
As
Christians, we need to pay attention to what is happening around us, no one
knows when Jesus is coming back. There are signs and prophecies in God’s Word.
Don’t let the cares of this world bog you down (Luke 21:34)
Here
are the Greek meanings of some of the words:
Heed
– to look at – behold, beware
Watch
– to be sleepless, i.e. keep awake – watch
Pray
– to pray to God i.e. supplicate, worship
Watch
We know what time our favorite TV programs are coming on.
People know when certain concerts or plays are happing. But do we know the Word
of God?
Do we know how to discern the signs of the times? What is
the most important thing to know? Which movie star is dating or marrying whom?
What is the number one song this week? What does the Bible (not a book or an
author but the Bible) say?
Watch
Have a blessed day,
Donna
