Giving Thanks

Psalm 105:1-5
O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. :3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

God is so good we can never stop thanking him for all He has given us. We have so much to be thankful for, make a list today of at least five things. Tell others what He has done for you.

During your quiet time with God sing to Him. It doesn’t need to be fancy or professional but sing from the heart. There are so many songs that proclaim the greatness of God. My granddaughter is always “making up” songs about God. We need to have childlike faith.

Our hearts will rejoice when we are seeking the Lord. Rejoice in this verse means to brighten up, cheer up, be glad. We feel so much better when we are happy. Be happy in the Lord and all He has done for you.

How do we seek God? Spend time each day with Him. We put time aside for our family, job, and hobbies. Each day put time aside for God. Start the day with prayer and mediating on His goodness.

Remember all He has done for you. Look around and rejoice in His beautiful creation. Take a moment to look at the plants and animals that He created. I love to look at the sky on a clear night. You can see the pattern of the stars and how the moon illuminates the darkness. Be thankful for his marvellous works!

Have a great day.
